On February 24, 2021, thework seminaroftheCentrein the spring semester was held inInternational SchoolConference Room 201. The meeting focused onthe contents like enrollment and cultivation, cooperation and exchange, and sustainable development, etc. During the meeting, the progress of the APSCO Student Small Satellite (SSS) Project and the planning of enrollment and cultivation of internationalparticipants were discussed and exchanged. The meeting was chaired byDr.Weng Jingnong, Executive Director of the Centre,Dean of InternationalSchool, and was attended bysupervisorsof various majors and representatives of the Centre.
The meeting discussed the study of internationalparticipants.Itproposed to minimize the impact of the epidemic on the study of internationalparticipants in the schedule of defense, to increase the reform in the curriculum, and to put forward the idea of curriculum construction of "expanding openness, gathering resources and promoting cooperation."
In addition,Dr.Weng Jingnong proposed that each professional direction should establish a resource librarytoorganize free learning resources at home and abroad;the Centreplansto open online lectures in March, hold 1-2 lectures of professional directions every month, push the latest developments and technologies of space technology, provide better services for online learning of theCentre’sparticipants, and continue to do all the daily work of theCentre well, etc.
The meeting also discussed the recent and future development of the Centre, proposed the establishment of a national laboratory sub-Centre and practice base, and decided on the theme of 2021 China Space Day "New Era, New Space-Time, New Exploration"; the feasibility and road-map of establishing a talent training base in Africa were discussed during the meetingto serve China-Africa cooperation.
The meeting also included a panel discussion on the recent workof the BeiDouInternationalExchangeand Training Centre(BD-IETC)ofChina Satellite NavigationOfficeand the preparation of the education sub-forum of the 11th China Satellite Navigation Conference.
Thisworking seminar clarified the objectives of theCentreat this stage in education and training, cooperation and development, which played a positive role in improving the teaching quality, expanding communication andcollaboration, and clarifying the development direction of the Centre.
