Dr. Liang Sun obtained Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Hong Kong, in 2010. From 2010 to 2013, he was a researcher with Alcatel-Lucent Shanghai Bell and NEC Corporation Limited. From September 2014 to December 2015, he has been a postdoctoral research fellow with Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, Canada. He joined Beihang University in Jan. 2016 as an associate professor. He also held visiting positions at Waseda University, Japan, and the South University of Science and Technology of China, Shenzhen, China. His research interests include information theory and signal processing; in particular design and analysis of communication systems, MIMO, multiuser and ultra-dense heterogeneous wireless networks and limited feedback techniques. Dr. Sun has published over 40 papers in the areas of wireless communications and statistical signal processing, including 13 prestigious IEEE Transactions journal papers. Dr. Sun received a 2010 Young Author Best Paper Award by the IEEE Signal Processing Society.
