Good News|Centre participants passed the HSK exam

On June 16, 2019, the HSK (Level II) was held at International School, Beihang University, forty-two (42) participants from the Centre participated in the test.

The test results were announced recently, all the participants of the Centre passed the test. The average score of the participants was 173 points (passing grade was 120 points). Among them, AGBAJE HALIMAH ADEBIMPE from Nigeria, YAVUZ UMUT from Turkey and SEWEEWANLOP SURUCCHAWADI from Thailand got a perfect score (200 points).




The Space Technology Application Programme of the Centre is taught in English, it also offers Chinese Language and Introduction to China courses to help participants understand Chinese language and its culture. In order to encourage participants to learn Chinese better, the Centre has raised the requirements for Chinese teaching and examination since 2018, increased the amount of class hours and tutoring, and organized participants to take the HSK (Level II) to stimulate participants’ enthusiasm for learning Chinese, enable them to further understand China and improve learning outcomes.

 The HSK (Level II) assesses test takers’ abilities in the application of everyday Chinese. It is the counterpart of the Level II of the Chinese Language Proficiency Scales for Speakers of Other Languages and the A2 Level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEF). Test takers who are able to pass the HSK (Level II) have an excellent grasp of basic Chinese and can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.
