1. Research Direction
The main directions of MASTA Program are as follows:
(1). Remote Sensing and Geo-Information System (RS & GIS)
(2). Satellite Communications (SATCOM)
(3). Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS)
(4). Micro-Satellite Technology
(5). Space Law and Policy
(6). Space Science and Environment
(7). Space Project Management
2. Study Periods
Referring to the regulations in the Space Science and Technology Education Center-Curriculum (A/AC. 105.649) issued by UN in 1996, the whole study period is divided into two Phase:
(a) First Phase: course study for 9 months;
(b) Second Phase: thesis research for 12 months
The maximum of study period for MASTA is 3 years. The candidates should apply to extend their study period, if they have studied at Beihang University for 2 years.
3. Training Procedures
The training procedures are as follows.
There are four stages: Formulation of an Individual Training Plan, Course Study, Thesis Research and Thesis Defense.
To ensure the quality of study, each participant will be assigned one tutor from Beihang University. In case of need, tutors from other institutes can be assigned either. Tutors are responsible for helping and supervising the participants on making the thesis plan, finishing the thesis proposal, conducting the scientific research and writing thesis, etc.
4. Scholarship
The program is eligible to apply for the Chinese Government Scholarship, Beijing Government Foreign Students Scholarship and Beihang University Foreign Students Scholarship.
