From October 13th to November 1st, 2019, the International Training Workshop on BeiDou Technology and its Applications which was organized by the National Remote Sensing Center of China and co-organized by the National Time Service Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was held in Xi’an, China. 2018 participants from the Centre: Ms. MARCIA ALINE RIBEIRO SILVA, Ms. LETICIA SANTOS LULA BARROS and 2019 graduate Mr. XIE WANG DANIEL from Brazil participated in the training.

Training of space information technology, including BeiDou Satellite Navigation System, Geographical Information System, Remote Sensing Technology and Space Probing Technology was provided for the participants in ASEAN and other developing countries to promote technology exchanges between both sides. Besides training, participants also visited lishan observatory, satellite navigation CAPS system, Xi’an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Satellite signal monitoring in Haoping station, etc.

After the training, all the participants attended the Creative Course Design Display, Mr. XIE WANG DANIEL and Ms. MARCIA ALINE RIBEIRO SILVA from the Centre won the “Outstanding Maneuverability Work” and “Outstanding Creativity Work” respectively.
