On June 25, 2019, the Centre organized the 9th technical visit to Information Management Center of the Supreme People’s Court of the People’s Republic of China.

Under the guidance of the staff of the Supreme People’s Court and Mr. Gao Guozhu, professor in the Law School of Beihang University, the participants visited the Information Management Center of the Supreme People’s Court. Subsequently, the experts of the Supreme People’s Court gave a lecture entitled “Accelerate the Construction of Smart Court, Promote the Modernization of Trial System and Trial Capacity”, demonstrated to the participants the application of data management service platform in serving the people and trial execution.

Ms. ANA PAULA CASTRODEPAULANUNES, a Space Law and Policy participant from Brazil, reported that the information technology system of the Supreme People’s Court Information Center is quite mature. This visit gave Centre participants a comprehensive understanding of the Chinese legal system and its business platform, and technologies over there are worth to be considered as reference.

The development of space science and technology is closely related to information construction. The Information Center of the Supreme People’s Court is the competent department of information construction of Chinese courts, and plays a pivotal role in this field in the world.
