On June 9, 2019, Dr. Shirish Ravan, Centre coordinator of United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) visited the Centre. Dr. Weng Jingong, Executive Director of the Centre, Dean of International School, Beihang University and staff of the Centre, warmly welcomed the guests. Both sides exchanged views on co-organizing the UN-SPIDER annual meeting and its 10th anniversary event, the construction of the Centre alliance and the development of the Centre.
After the meeting, Dr. Shirish Ravan visited the small-satellite ground monitoring and control center, distance learning and video conference room, Remote Sensing and GIS teaching laboratory, Centre archives and STA library, training classroom, Centre construction development gallery, window display of Newsletters and publications, participant archives and graduation papers, etc.
