From October 25th to 31st, 2017, International Training Course on Integration of Multisource Earth Observation Data for Disaster Damage Assessment was held by Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization  (APSCO), United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and  Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific (China), at International School, Beihang University.

  The one week training course which started on the 25th of October focuses on improving the ability of integrating space technology to disaster management, as well as promoting exchanges and cooperation among different countries. The training course includes the hot topics, like remote sensing, multisource earth observation data, 3D modeling and disaster damage assessment. It is worthy of note to say that seven (7) experts of related UNOOSA, Indian Institution of Remote Sensing, Disaster Reduction Center of Ministry of Civil Affairs and Beihang University were invited to give lectures in  training program. Forty six (46) participants from 17 countries (Bangladesh, Sudan, Ghana, Iran, Mozambique, Pakistan, Peru, Thailand, Indonesia, Kenya, Mongolia, Fuji, Burma, Nigeria, Turkey, India and China) participated in the training. 7 participants of the Centre also attended the training course, and they said, they were really thankful to get such an opportunity to learn the practical use of space technology in disaster management field and broaden their horizon as well.
