On March 24, 2016,37 Masta and Docsta students visited the 21st century Co., Ltd. led by Ms. Tan, and took part in a oneday training. The Twenty First Century Aerospace Technology Co. Ltd (21AT) was founded in 2001 in Beijing and was the first independent commercial satellite operator and nongovernmental investor in remote sensing satellite system in China. It is the first private company that vertically integrated EO satellite operator and services businesses. It owns several lowcost EO small satellites, including the 1m optical EO small satellite constellation, and the satellite control & image tasking and receiving stations.

Technical experts from the company gave two presentations which are on land cover change monitoring & remote sensing services, and realtime intelligent management system. Students also visited the Beijing CenterOne satellite model, as well as Beijing II satellite ground control system, which gave them an intuitive feelings about satellite operation mechanism. In addition, through the company's remote sensing data display platform, students saw various images of Beijing II satellite, and they were greatly impressed by the high data quality of Beijing II satellite.

After the visit and training, all participants were classified into three groups and each group made a lively discussion about commercial remote sensing application, guided by one instructor from the company. The visit to 21AT turn ou fruitful  for all participants.
