On the morning of December 19, 2023, President Panavy Pookaiyaudom and Vice President of Mahanakorn University of Technology (MUT), Thailand, accompanied by staff from GALAXYSPACE, a partner of the Centre, visited the Centre.

Mr. Weng Jingnong, Director of the International Relations Department of Beihang University and Executive Director of the Centre, Mr. Yang Dongkai, Responsibility Professor in the direction of Global Satellite Navigation System (GNSS), Mr. Huang Hai and Ms. Chen Shenyan, Responsibility Professor and Associate Professor in the major of Micro-satellite Technology, warmly received the delegation.

Mr. Weng Jingnong introduced the overview development of Beihang University, information on education and training, scientific research and international cooperation, and focused on the talent training of the Centre. President Panavy Pookaiyaudom expressed his appreciation for the strength of the university in research and talent training, and said that several faculty members from their university had pursued advanced studies at Beihang University and obtained degrees.

Then, President Panavy Pookaiyaudom provided a detailed overview of MUT. MUT is a university that focuses on the professional directions including Electronic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, New Energy Vehicle Manufacturing, etc., and has made bright achievements in the field of scientific research. He mentioned that in recent years, MUT has been actively carrying out joint cultivation of innovative talents with renowned foreign universities. He hoped that in the future, MUT could further carry out exchanges of faculty and students with Beihang University, exploring scientific research project partnerships. Additionally, he extended an invitation to representatives from the Centre to visit MUT for exchanges.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the office building of the Centre and the Air and Space Museum of Beihang University.
