On September 12, 2019, Welcome Meeting on Mid Autumn Festival for MASTA&DOCSTA 2019 was held at the Centre.

First of all, Mr. Weng Jingnong, Executive Director of the Centre and Dean of International School, Beihang University, gave a detailed introduction to the basic situation, development history and organizational structure of the Centre. He expressed his welcome and expectations for the new participants and encouraged them to make good use of the Centre.

Later, Ms. Yang Fan, Program Manager of the Centre, introduced the Centre’s infrastructure, official website, annual activities and other arrangements to the participants, and organized them to select a monitor and set up a class WeChat group. This group is to ensure the smooth flow of information and help to timely solve the problems in everyone’s study and life. In addition, She also introduced the upcoming Chinese traditional festival Mid Autumn Festival and some useful Apps.

Finally, Ms. Guo Yuanyuan, Program Director of the Centre, gave a systematic introduction to the training plan and course selection, and distributed the academic schedule brochure. She encouraged the participants to devote themselves to the intense and interesting study.

In September 2019, the Centre enrolled fifty (50) participants in the fields of CS&GNSS, RS&GIS, and Micro-satellite Technology in total, with forty (40) in MASTA Program and ten (10) in DOCSTA Program. The participants are mainly recommended by ASPCO and related space departments of RCSSTEAP Member States. Being the professionals or the backup talents in related fields of their home countries, these participants are from sixteen (16) different countries including Algeria, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Brazil, Egypt, Iran, Jordan, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Spain, Togo, Turkey, Venezuela.
