From May 13 to 16, 2019, the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations (CDAC) was held in Beijing. Xi attended opening of Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations and delivered a keynote speech. Here is the full text of Mr. MUHAMMAD ARSALAN’s interview:

“大家好，我是来自巴基斯坦的阿萨兰，现在在北京航空航天大学攻读全球卫星导航系统专业。是不是听起来很高大上？其实简单来说，就是我们现在日常很多人都离不开的导航和定位。

这里是北京航空航天大学国际学院，我是联合国附属空间科技教育亚太区域中心（中国）的学生。

I have been studying in China for last two (2) years, I love Chinese traditional culture and I am quite fascinated by Chinese modern civilization. In recent years, China’s technology is developing so fast, for example the ‘新四大发明’, numerous high-speed train like ‘高铁’ and mobile payment, also 5G and Beidou navigation system are very powerful. Now the Beidou system has been applied to many countries, for example Kuwait Construction, Myanmar Precision Agriculture, Maritime Piling in Maldives, Cambodian UAVs and Pakistani Airport Timing --- to provide accurate navigation and positioning services. Beidou will provide global coverage to the world by 2020. 北斗是中国的，更是世界的，这就是中国开放包容的心态。

中国有句老话: 人之相知，贵相知心 (the best part of knowing someone is being understood and understanding) . In my perspective, China as a developing country understands the motive of other developing countries like Pakistan to seek development, and provided them help in economy and technology without reservation. China wants to seek development with all developing countries. In Beihang university, my classmates come from twelve (12) different countries, we attended several training and high-end forums together and I am highly fascinated by the latest trends and development I have learned from that.”
