On the afternoon of February 15th, 2017, Deputy Director of the Centre Mr. Weng Jingnong and Latin American students Aimee and Michael accepted interview from Spanish Channel of CCTV as guests of the series of programs of "Con los ojos en China".

  In recent years, an increasing number of international talents have been coming to study at Beihang University with China’s closer cooperation with different countries in aerospace. Mr. Weng Jingnong said that International education at Beihang University was inaugurated in 1993 with the enrollment of 18 international students and had been developing at a very fast pace. Presently,, over 2000 international students from 106 countries are studying at Beihang University. The number of students from Latin American is growing all the time. In 2014, Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific (China) (RCSSTEAP for short) was established in Beihang University, which aimed at promoting the peaceful use of space technologies for the benefit of all humankind. The Centre has output a great many space technology talents for developing countries. Many graduates have become the backbone of their national space development and have made great contributions to cooperation between China and their countries.

  Aimee and Michael are presently studying as postgraduate students in the MASTA program of the Centre. They expressed their heartfelt thanks to the high quality teaching resources and good environment provided by the Centre. They cherished this opportunity and would work harder to improve themselves. They hope that they would make positive contribution to the aerospace development and international cooperation in the future.
