From 22^nd to 24^th of February 2017, commissioned by China's Satellite Navigation system management office, BeiDou International Exchange Training centre and the Centre, a seminar on BeiDou Satellite Navigation Technology was held in Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), with totally six (6) keynote reports delivered, including Status Report on BeiDou International Exchange an Training Center, Precision Agriculture in BeiDou, Principles of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), GNSS receiver and its Applications, GNSS Reflectometery and its Applications, Current Status of BeiDou Navigation Satellite System. These reports gave a detailed introduction of the construction of BeiDou Satellite Navigation System and the latest situation of the international education and related technologies. More than fifty (50) people from Arab league and Egypt Aerospace Department attended the seminar and showed great interest in BeiDou Satellite Navigation System.

  During the meeting, Prof. Qin Honglei, Prof. Yang Dongkai, associate Prof. Jin Tian of Beihang University, and Mr. Shen Jun, Deputy Director of BeiDou International Cooperation Research Center visited the marine simulator and teaching facilities. They also discussed international cooperation in BeiDou education with representatives from AASTMT and invited them to attend the First China-Arab States BDS Cooperation Forum in China in May 2017.
