On the afternoon of March 21st, 2017, the meeting on education development of Global Satellite Navigation System (GNSS) was held at the Centre. Mr Jing Guifei, Deputy Director of Remote Sensing Center, Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Shi Chuang, senior expert in GNSS, Ms.Yang Junlin, expert of Administration and Law, Ms. Gao Qi, supervisor of postgraduates majoring in Space Law and Policy, Mr. Gong Haoqin, Project Director of the Centre, Ms. Wang Xin, Designer Director of the Centre, Ms. Guo Yuanyuan, Project Director of the Centre attended the meeting.The meeting was chaired by Mr. Weng Jingnong, Deputy Director of the Centre and Dean of International School, Beihang University.

  At the meeting, Mr. Weng Jingnong firstly gave a report titled " Introduction of BeiDou International Exchange and Training Center 2017", which focused on the mission, development history and work plan of BeiDou International Education. Then, the experts exchanged views on promoting the establishment of Alliance of UN Regional Centres/ICG Information Center and BeiDou School at Beihang University as well as initiating more international cooperation. In addition, they reached a consensus on making Beihang as a space talent training base for the developing countries.

  As a leading university in aerospace engineering, Beihang has the capability and responsibility to promote the systematic development of BeiDou education, establishing a talent training base as well as popularizing BeiDou technology applications all the world, which will definitely lay a good foundation for the global network of BeiDou Navigation Satellite System.
