In November 2016, Mr. Weng Jingnong, Deputy Director of the Centre and participants from Venezuela were interviewed by journalist from Phoenix Satellite TV.
The internationalization of space standards plays a vital role in space industry. Space talents are significant bridges in space international cooperation. Mr. Weng Jingnong said, “China is willing to assume more international responsibilities, share its successful experience of China’s space development and try to help the developing countries improve their space application capability. Therefore, we should make good use of the Centre as an exchange platform and constantly improve the scale and level of space education. We will help the developing countries in space talents cultivation and promote the internationalization of “Chinese Space Standards”.
Maria and Aimee are now studying for master’s degree and doctor’s degree respectively at the Centre. During the interview, Maria mentioned her first training experience in Beihang University 9 years ago. She said, “At that time, I knew nothing about satellite.
