On May 29th, 2016, “The Fifth International Cultural Festival of Beihang University” was held in the square in front of Air & Space Museum. Vice President Huang Haijun, some representatives of embassies and consulates in China, and representatives of International School attended the opening ceremony.

Vice President Huang Haijun addressed the opening ceremony. He extended a warm welcome to all the guests for coming to the ceremony and noted that international education in Beihang University was committed to promote the cultural integration of Chinese and international students through innovation, cross-cultural communication and characteristic education.

The International Cultural Festival included two parts, cultural exhibition and show. The students from different countries showed various cultures through pictures of scenery in their own countries, crafts, cuisine and distinctive instruments, clothing at the booth in front of Air & Space Museum. Then, international students performed folk dance and played instruments, attracting crowds of people.

The Fifth International Cultural Festival was funded by AVIC International Holding Corporation and supported by Communist Youth League of Beihang University and embassies. Students from 33 countries set cultural booths. They brought us a cultural feast through art show and performance, cuisine and the like.

It is reported that there are now more than 1900 international students from 106 countries studying at Beihang University, of which more than 1000 are candidates for bachelor, master and doctoral degree.
