On the third World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction in Japan, the Sendai Framework for Disaster Reduction 2015-2030 identified critical role of space based technologies in disaster risk reduction. The United Nations International Conference on Space-based Technologies for Disaster Management was successfully held from September 14th to 16th ,2015. Several relevant topics are discussed on the conference, and Mr. Weng Jingnong, Executive Director of the Center made a special report and held the seminar of the third workgroup.
