From August 22 to 26, the Permanent Mission of China to Vienna organized the "China Space Trip", inviting diplomats from the permanent missions to Vienna of Brazil, Argentina, Peru, South Africa, and Türkiye to visit China's space facilities. The delegation gained first-hand insight into China's advances in space technology and exploration and held discussions on deepening international cooperation in the space sector.

As an important part of this event, the delegation visited the Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific (China)(Affiliated to the United Nations)   (RCSSTEAP) at the Xueyuan Road Campus of Beihang University on August 25.

The delegation first visited the Aerospace Museum, where they learned about the development of China’s space industry through a rich collection of artifacts and historical materials.

Then they proceeded to the Smart Education Center in the Main Building, where they  gained insight into modern teaching methods and educational resources for space technology education.

The delegation also held in-depth discussions with representatives of the Regional Centre. Mr. Su Li, Deputy Director of the International Relations Department at Beihang University, introduced the Regional Centre’s work in talent development, scientific research, and international cooperation in the field of space science and technology. The two sides also exchanged views on further deepening international cooperation in the space sector.

During the discussions, the delegation spoke highly of China's achievements in its space program. They noted that the visit provided them with a more direct and in-depth understanding of China's vision of openness, sharing, and win-win cooperation in the space sector. They looked forward to deepening cooperation with China in areas including space science and technology education and training, capacity building, and the peaceful use of outer space for the well-being of all humanity.
