Latin American and Caribbean Space Agency Delegation Visits RCSSTEAP

On the afternoon of August 31, at the invitation of the Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific (China) (Affiliated to the United Nations) (RCSSTEAP), a five-member delegation from the Latin American and Caribbean Space Agency (ALCE), led by Mr. Oscar Fredy Gonzalez Rivera, Secretary General of ALCE, visited Beihang University's Shahe Campus. The delegation toured the Vacuum Plume Laboratory, gaining first-hand insight into the university's advanced research facilities and capabilities in space propulsion.

Prof. Jin Tian, Deputy Director of the International Relations Department; Prof. Yang Wenjiang, Prof. Ling Guilong, and Prof. Zhang Guangchuan of the School of Astronautics; and Ms. Guo Yuanyuan, Program Manager of RCSSTEAP, participated in the reception and discussions. The two sides held in-depth discussions on advancing cooperation in space science and technology education, strengthening personnel training, and promoting academic exchange.

The delegation expressed high appreciation for the laboratories' advanced technological capabilities and research achievements. The two sides expressed their hope to take this visit as an opportunity to further expand practical cooperation in areas including space technology applications, talent development, and joint research, thereby contributing to the peaceful use of outer space and the advancement of international space science and technology.
