The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and the Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific (China) (Affiliated to the United Nations) (RCSSTEAP) plan to jointly hold the Executive Course on Space Project Management and the Executive Course on Space Economy and Entrepreneurship from 23 to 27 November 2026 at Beihang University Hangzhou International Campus, China.
1. Executive Course on Space Project Management
Build practical skills to manage space projects from mission planning to implementation.
Covering the full life cycle of space projects, the course connects systems engineering and mission design, budgeting and cost control, and risk management with real-world cases. It also explores small satellites and CubeSats, AI applications in space missions, and international cooperation. Through lectures, interactive discussions, case analysis, and simulation exercises, participants will apply technical knowledge and management methods to real projects, enhancing planning, decision-making, and implementation capabilities.
Designed for space sector practitioners, project managers, engineers and technical personnel, as well as policymakers and decision-makers, and suitable for professionals who wish to systematically master the concepts and practical methods of space project management.
2. Executive Course on Space Economy and Entrepreneurship
Turn space technologies into market opportunities and innovative ideas into business proposals.
The course explores trends and industry structures in the New Space economy, helping participants identify commercial opportunities and understand technology commercialization, entrepreneurship, financing, and relevant policy and regulatory frameworks. It is expected to combine online foundational learning with hands-on training. Technical sessions, business cases, industry exchanges, team projects, and mentoring will guide participants from problem identification and solution design to business pitching, exploring how innovative ideas can become viable products or services.
Designed for MSc and PhD students in science, engineering, business, and related fields; early-career professionals in space and related sectors; and stakeholders from space agencies, government departments, regulatory authorities, and innovation agencies.
