On the afternoon of January 17, 2022, the Centre held an online New Year class meeting for participants in Conference Room 201 of International School, Beihang University, and invited four (4) participants currently on campus to attend. Mr. Weng Jingnong, Executive Director of the Centre, and members of Office of the Centre attended the class meeting.

Mr. Weng Jingnong gave cordial greetings to all the participants of the Centre, reviewed the important news and main work of the Centre in 2021, and answered their concerns about returning to campus, thesis defense, degree conferral, scholarships, etc. In addition, Mr. Weng Jingnong introduced the new member of Office of the Centre, and then she conducted an online questionnaire survey on the needs of the participants in academic writing and other aspects.

During the class meeting, the coordinator of the Centre conveyed important notices about the winter vacation, and shared the current global epidemic situation, urging them to strictly abide by the local epidemic prevention and control requirements and take good personal protection. On the occasion of the New Year, the participants were also introduced to the Chinese New Year customs and zodiac culture. They learned the traditional Chinese New Year greetings together online. Wishes like “Xin Nian Kuai Le” and “Gong Xi Fa Cai” from all corners of the world brought our hearts closer.

Although participants from all over the world cannot come to China to gather at this moment, we look forward to the early receding of the epidemic, so that we can be together on campus in the near future.
