From April 7th to 15th, the Centre organized the admission interviews for MASTA Programme and DOCSTA Programme in 2022 in two (2) batches, and all the interviews have been successfully completed. Thirty-eight (38) applicants from eight (8) countries including Algeria, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Mongolia, Pakistan, Peru, Turkey, and Venezuela, participated in the online interview.
The Centre established an Interview Review Committee to ensure the transparency and openness of the selection process. More than ten (10) professors of Beihang University from three (3) majors, namely Satellite Communications and Global Navigation Satellite Systems (SC&GNSS), Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System (RS&GIS), and Micro-satellite Technology, participated in the interview. For applicants recommended by the Member States of Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO), the interview was conducted by professors from Beihang University together with experts from APSCO. The online interviews, recorded throughout, mainly evaluated the applicants’ language proficiency, professional background, education and work experience, academic ability and professional knowledge.
In 2022, the Centre enrolled MASTA&DOCSTA candidates in three (3) academic fields including SC&GNSS, RS&GIS, and Micro-satellite Technology. As of March 2022, materials of forty-two (42) applicants have been received. After preliminarily review by Office of the Centre, a total of thirty-six (36) applicants participated in this year’s interview.
