From August 21 to 23, 2023, The 1st Youth Innovation Forum on Digital Earth was successfully held in Beijing. The forum was co-hosted by International Society for Digital Earth (ISDE), International Research Center of Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals (CBAS) and Aerospace Information Research Institute (AIR) of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and co-organized by International Society for Digital Earth - Young Scientist Innovation Network (ISDE-YSIN) and Nanjing Normal University. The theme was “Digital Earth in Support of Global Sustainable Development”.
At the invitation of International Society for Digital Earth, the participants of the Centre in relevant majors actively signed up to attend and studied at the site. They had extensive exchanges at this grand gathering of young scientists, gained valuable knowledge and forged deep friendships.
The Forum included a number of sessions, such as opening ceremony, invited presentations, keynote presentations and so on, which enabled participants to have a deeper understanding of the role of digital Earth in sustainable development and its practical application.
