Recently, the monograph Fundamentals and Applications of GNSS Reflectometry, co-authored by Prof. Yang Dongkai from the Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific (China) (Affiliated to the United Nations) and Dr. Wang Feng from the School of Electronic Information Engineering at Beihang University, has been officially published by Springer Nature and released worldwide as an open-access book. The work was supported by the RCSSTEAP and the Hangzhou International Innovation Institute of Beihang University.

The book provides a systematic overview of the development of GNSS Reflectometry (GNSS-R) in Earth observation and remote sensing over the past decade. It covers topics including the properties of GNSS reflected signals, signal reflection mechanisms, the software and hardware design of GNSS reflectometry receivers, and a wide range of applications in ocean, land, and other emerging fields.

The monograph showcases multiple applications in marine remote sensing, land-soil moisture retrieval, river boundary monitoring, airborne target detection, and water body identification, among others. It offers valuable insights for interdisciplinary research in navigation and remote sensing.

The translation team consists of Ms. Liu Shuyan and Dr. Li Jie from the School of Foreign Languages at Beihang University, and Mr. Yang Yi, an industry expert. Their work has significantly enhanced the clarity and academic rigor of the English edition.

As the appointed GNSS Subject Matter Expert of the RCSSTEAP, Prof. Yang has long been dedicated to satellite navigation education, international training, and capacity building. This publication will serve as an authoritative reference for researchers, engineers, and students across member states. It will further support the United Nations in its strategic goal of enhancing GNSS scientific research and application capabilities in developing countries.

The book is now available on the Springer Nature platform. Readers worldwide can freely download the full text in PDF and EPUB formats via the following link:
